Services

My purpose to all of my clients is to be empathetic to their stress related aches & pains. I too was once a government and legal secretary. Before each massage, I question what activities caused their pain and offer stretch examples for post massage. When my massage is completed, I want my clients to feel I’ve met their individual needs. I provide service and will travel to Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, New Braunfels and NE San Antonio, Texas to meet your massage needs.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage promotes relaxation and eases muscle tension. Swedish massage provides such health benefits as improving blood circulation, stimulate the lymphatic system, and relieves muscle cramps, spasms and much more.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is helpful for chronically tense
and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders, as well as helping athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event or function well during training. Deep tissue massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles, tendons as well as improving the range of motion. Some clients fear Deep Tissue massage because of possible soreness after the massage. I prefer thumbs and forearms instead of elbows for my Deep Tissue work. I use light Shiatsu on the shoulder/scapula area to reach the subscapularis muscles and increase range of motion.

Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage offers tranquil relaxation, reduces emotional stress, weight-bearing stress relief on joints, improves outcome of labor and eases labor pain. I use pillows to reduce stress in the lower back, neck, hips & legs in an effort to convey love & comfort to the new mommie. Oils enhance pliability of the skin tissues and help reduce possible stretch marks.

Trigger Points Using Shiatsu
Trigger point therapy helps eliminate pain and
re-educates the muscles into pain-free habits. After several treatments with trigger point therapy, the swelling and stiffness of neuromuscular pain is reduced, range of motion is increased, tension is relieved, and circulation, flexibility and coordination are improved.

Knots” or “trigger points” in the muscles is a collection of lactic acid. As I use my thumbs to locate trigger points and release the lactic acid. My long soothing strokes up the back & oblique side muscles with my forearm dispurse the lactic acid and get it to the kidney/liver area where it can be released from the body by drinking 1-3 liters of water within 24 hours after a full body massage. Soreness is possible if the client doesn’t drink enough water after a service.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a hands-on technique of relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation, venous and lymphatic drainage, stimulates the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia. This is especially helpful following trauma, inflammatory responses, and/or surgical procedures.
